During the spring of 2026, a significant wave of workers' struggles developed across several industrial regions of India. This article situates in the context of an international revival of class movements.
We publish here the reflections by an ICC sympathiser on the online public meeting we held in English on 18 October. We agree with its approach and think it is a very useful contribution to future discussions about the significance of the current movements of proletarian youth.

Fin août 2026, le Népal a été frappé par une avalanche de boue et une coulée de débris dévastatrices, parties de la vallée de Gyirong, côté tibétain de la frontière sino-népalaise. Des communautés entières ont été balayées en quelques minutes. La presse bourgeoise a rapidement présenté l’événement comme une «catastrophe naturelle», une conséquence tragique mais inévitable de la vie dans l’Himalaya. Pourtant, une telle description occulte les causes réelles de la catastrophe.
Alors que les températures mondiales atteignent des niveaux record et que le dernier rapport de l’ONU prévoit que la planète se dirige vers une hausse rapide de 1,8°C au-dessus des niveaux préindustriels, l’été 2026 démontre déjà l’impact dévastateur du réchauffement planétaire.
En avril dernier, le comité d’organisation de «Varna 26», lié au groupe Konflikt en Bulgarie, a appelé les groupes et les individus à s’inscrire à une conférence internationaliste qui devait se tenir en septembre à Varna :
Partout, les prix explosent : carburant, alimentation, logement! Partout, les licenciements, le chômage de masse, la précarité! Partout, les catastrophes climatiques et les milliers de morts à cause des températures, des feux, des inondations! Partout, les guerres et les massacres de masse! Sous nos yeux, le capitalisme déchaîne toutes les calamités dans un tourbillon destructeur. Et la bourgeoisie, ses États et ses gouvernements de gauche, de droite, «socialistes», libéraux ou populistes sont incapables d’apporter une réponse.
